Jianchao “Peter” Li focuses on cross-border dispute resolution (cross-border e-commerce, intellectual property disputes, etc.), corporate compliance, and charity-related legal services. He is a licensed attorney in both the United States (California) and China. Mr. Li has successfully represented cross-border e-commerce sellers in numerous cases, appearing in court to handle disputes or negotiate for settlement on behalf of clients involving intellectual property (including trademarks, patents, and copyrights) as well as website accessibility issues (in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA).

 

Prior to his current practice, Mr. Li served as an in-house counsel at a well-known Fortune 500 company. Initially, he worked in the case dispute management department, handling domestic and international commercial disputes. Later, he was seconded to the company’s Latin American subsidiary as a Legal Manager, overseeing corporate compliance matters for the local subsidiary.

 

Peter also has accumulated extensive knowledge and experience in charity law and NPO law, advising or working with charities, foundations, and social enterprises in compliance with the law of the PRC, such as the California Wine Institute.
