LawMay P.C. (“LawMay,” “we,” or “us”) respects the privacy of visitors to www.lawmayus.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. A Chinese version is available at 隐私政策 (中文).
01
Information We Collect
(a) Information you provide.When you contact us through the Site’s contact form, we collect the name, email address or phone number, and message you choose to submit. Providing this information is entirely voluntary.
(b) Technical information collected automatically. As with most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information in server logs (such as IP address, browser type, access time, and pages visited) for security and site-operations purposes.
(c) Language preference.The Site stores a single language preference (Chinese or English) in your browser’s local storage so that the Site displays in your preferred language on return visits.
(d) Usage data collected via cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses or may use cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies to collect usage data (such as pages visited, time on page, referral source, device and browser type, and approximate location), as described in Section 02 below.
02
Cookies and Website Analytics
The Site uses or may use two categories of technologies:
- Essential and functional technologies — to keep the Site working properly and remember your preferences (such as language choice); these are not used for advertising;
- Analytics cookies and third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) — to compile aggregate statistics about Site traffic and usage (pages visited, time on page, referral source, device type, approximate location), which help us understand how the Site is used and improve its content.
You can refuse, limit, or delete cookies through your browser settings without affecting your ability to browse the Site’s main content; major analytics providers also offer their own opt-out mechanisms.
“Do Not Track”: because there is no industry-standard response to browser DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
Regardless of the technologies used, we do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use your information for marketing unrelated to your inquiry.
03
How We Use Information
We use the information you provide only to:
- respond to and communicate with you about your inquiry;
- run a conflict-of-interest check before any engagement is formed;
- analyze Site traffic and usage on an aggregate basis to improve the Site’s content; and
- maintain Site security and diagnose technical issues.
04
Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following service providers to operate the Site, each of which processes limited information on our behalf:
- Web3Forms (form delivery): content you submit through the contact form is transmitted via this service to our firm email;
- Vercel (website hosting): hosts the Site and records the server logs described above;
- website analytics providers (such as Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC): process the usage data described in Section 02 above on our behalf;
- images accompanying certain earlier articles may be served from a third-party content delivery network (CDN); your browser makes a standard network request when loading such images.
These providers process information only to deliver their respective services, and we do not authorize them to use your information for any other purpose.
05
Information Sharing
Other than the providers listed above, we do not share your personal information with any third party, except where disclosure is required by law (for example, by court order or regulatory requirement).
06
Retention and Security
We retain your information only as long as needed for the purposes described above. If you engage LawMay, related information is retained in accordance with professional-responsibility and record-keeping requirements. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
07

You may ask what information we hold about you and request correction or deletion (except where retention is required by law). To exercise these rights, email attorney@lawmayus.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
08
