The Team / Non-Equity Partner
Peter Li
Jianchao "Peter" Li (Non-Equity Partner) is dually licensed in California, U.S. and in China, with rights of audience before several U.S. federal district courts.
Biography
Mr. Li focuses on cross-border dispute resolution — particularly in cross-border e-commerce — as well as corporate compliance and public-interest legal work. He has extensive hands-on experience in cross-border e-commerce IP and compliance matters, having repeatedly represented cross-border enterprises against patent, trademark, and copyright disputes and secured favorable outcomes through patent analysis, defense appearances, and settlement negotiations.
He also handles ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) website accessibility cases, with in-depth experience in ADA Title III, WCAG standards, website and mobile accessibility requirements, common litigation patterns (such as "high-frequency plaintiffs" and "high-frequency counsel"), and corporate response strategies, achieving favorable results through litigation, negotiation, or technical remediation in numerous ADA matters.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Li served in the legal department of a Fortune 500 company, initially managing domestic and international commercial disputes and later seconded to the company's Latin American subsidiary as legal manager responsible for local corporate compliance. This experience gave him a deep understanding of multinational operations, dispute resolution, risk management, and compliance-system development.
In addition, Mr. Li has accumulated substantial experience in public-interest and nonprofit organization (NPO) law, providing legal compliance counsel to charities, foundations, and social enterprises, including support to organizations such as the California Wine Institute.
