Biography

Yi Yi is a California-licensed attorney whose practice focuses on intellectual property litigation in U.S. federal courts, cross-border e-commerce disputes, product liability matters, and federal appellate matters. He represents Chinese and other international clients in disputes involving patent infringement, trademark and copyright claims, product liability, temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions, online marketplace intellectual property enforcement, and other cross-border commercial matters.

Mr. Yi regularly assists clients in responding to requests for temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions, challenging improper assertions of jurisdiction, developing patent noninfringement and invalidity defenses, and coordinating litigation strategy across the United States and China. He also advises cross-border e-commerce businesses on intellectual property enforcement, marketplace account and product-listing disputes, product liability claims, and related litigation risks.

Mr. Yi has appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas and the Northern District of Illinois (encompassing both formal bar admission and appearances by pro hac vice admission). He also handles trademark prosecution matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
