Xiangru Chen is an attorney admitted in the State of Washington, focusing on U.S.–China cross-border legal matters. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School and has extensive experience representing Chinese companies and cross-border clients in U.S. federal civil and commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, and outbound compliance matters. Drawing on her deep understanding of both U.S. and Chinese legal systems and business environments, Ms. Chen helps clients develop practical legal solutions aligned with U.S. law and commercial practice.


Ms. Chen has participated in federal court proceedings and appellate matters across multiple jurisdictions, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Eleventh Circuit, and federal district courts in the Southern District of Florida, Western District of Washington, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Northern District of Illinois. She has hands-on experience handling complex cross-border litigation and procedural issues.


Ms. Chen has lived, studied, and worked in the United States since 2009. Her prior experience includes work with a commercial litigation division of a Washington, D.C. government agency, a judge’s chambers at the Maryland Court of Appeals, and the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. She also has an academic background in architecture and building technology, holding a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in architecture and building technology from Cornell University, which enables her to provide informed and practical legal support in disputes involving technical facts and construction-related contracts.
